Tyler Martin is a student and musician, currently residing in Antigonish on the east coast of Canada. Originally from rural Ontario, Tyler completed his degree in jazz at St. Francis Xavier University in 2015, earning his Bachelor of Music while studying guitar with Kevin Brunkhorst and Jake Hanlon. He performs regularly as a leader and sideman at venues around eastern Canada.  Tyler’s playing and writing in jazz is informed by the styles of folk, rock, and pop music that have all had an influence on his development as a musician. As Tyler continues his attempts at playing and writing compelling music, he will always remain connected to his roots back home on the farm.
