There are 3 main grooves through-out this chart, moving between Swing, Straight- eighth, and 12/8. It also features dense harmonies at times in the horn voicings, great for the developing college Jazz Ensemble. The solos are modal in nature, with the Soprano Sax solo being in odd meter, Trombone being in 12/8, and an open Drum solo. A challenging, but fun chart.
